Our Mission
A tracheostomy creates a safe airway through the neck into the windpipe, often used for patients who need long-term ventilation, have experienced trauma, have airway obstruction, or require major surgery.
For most people, the tube is temporary, but for many it becomes a life-long device that significantly affects daily activities and care needs.
Despite being essential for survival and recovery, tracheostomy tubes are linked with a high rate of avoidable harm.
Approximately 30% of patients experience complications such as tube blockages, accidental dislodgement, infection or wound problems.
These events can be distressing, potentially life-threatening, and often lead to longer hospital stays.
Our mission is to improve tracheostomy technologies and optimise patient care and safety.
Our Vision
Tracheo is the brand name of an innovatively designed new tracheostomy device and accessories with a target launch for a first product in 2029.
Our first product in 2029 will be the launch of a new, feature rich iTracheo tracheostomy tube and accessories designed to address known issues in the market with AI technologies.
